Play RNDS™ Game Modes Explained

Play RNDS™ Game Modes Explained

One of the things that makes Play RNDS™ different is that you're not playing the same game over and over again. Every card belongs to one of three unique game modes, each testing a different skill. One round you'll be racing to explain a famous landmark without saying the obvious words, and the next you'll only be allowed to say three carefully chosen clues.

Here's how each game mode works.

Three-Word Challenge

Think you can describe anything in just three words?

In this mode, you must say only the three words printed on the card—nothing more.

No extra clues. No elaborating. No hints.

Once you've read the three words, it's over to your teammates to figure out the answer before the timer runs out.

Correct guesses in this mode earn your team 2 points.

Forbidden Words

This is where things get interesting.

Your goal is to describe the answer without using any of the forbidden words listed on the card. It sounds simple... until you realise the most obvious words have been taken away.

You'll need to think creatively, use synonyms and keep talking while avoiding the trap words.

Correct guesses in this mode earn your team 3 points.

Quick Describe

No need to invent clues—just read what's on the card.

Each card contains a short description of a person, place, event or piece of British culture. Your job is simply to read it aloud exactly as written while your teammates guess the answer.

Correct guesses in this mode earn your team 3 points.
